Hi,

We are facing a non blocking issue on the nice system but something quite frustrating. it is very slow wehn you do query or monitoring. we are using trunk side system.

are you also experiencing such kind fo issue with you rnice installation? there is around 300 agents working on it at the same time.

what vers do you have, if it is 8.x restart the CLS there is a memory leak issue that was supposed to be fixed but isn't.

That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Ours is always slow.........

we have fond a couple of pointers thou.

We have 4 cls's and orginally we put the odbc dataosurces up on a file server so that everyone could get access, but this for some reason introduced instability especially for users at remote sites. We've had to revert to adding the odbc sources to all the pc's...

another thing is the pc's themselves I would suggest that nice's minimum workstation spec is balls. we found that alot of the pc's the company were using just weren't upto the job. We've just gone through a pc refresh and we all have a minimum of p4 and half gig ram now. This has made a difference.

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Where specifically is it slow? Is it drawing up the query, waiting for the query to execute or playing back the call (if over LAN). Have you tried running an application profile to see how much network traffic is being generated by the application?

If this is still a problem, post here and I will give some pointers. There are a few ways to speed up the server. (If it is the running of a query.)

As for Monitor, this is normal, and depends on how many requests you have for Agents. The more agents you have in the group when you start the application, the longer it takes to startup and stop. The application send a request to the CLS to add your workstation to an active CTI monitor, so you get realtime activity. It has to do this for each agent in the group. When you close the application, it has to send a stop request.

Hi,

If you have logger in the administrator which is not responding, that will affect the time when you do query. You need to have all loggers correctly configured on the LAN.
