Good morning

I have worked for some years on the Nice perform platform, I am tweaking now mostly with the nice perform express systems.

One weakness that I have noted is that this kind of systems has no way to warn me when something goes wrong: for example it stopped recording because the NTlogger or IPcapture services crashed.

I don’t know if there is a single way to enable the services to be monitored via external monitoring service like solar winds, Ipswich what’s up, etc.…
Need at least to send automatic e-mails alarms when something is wrong

Any advice, any successful experience?
How do you deal with NPX apparent limitation day by day?

Thanks

NPX 3 up15 can now be monitored by NICESentinel. this is the nice product for minitoring SNMP.SNMP alerts cxan be set on sentinel via northbound alerts that forward alerts via email. If you want to use third party the mib file needs to be uploaded and on the system management page upon login to NPX you need to set ip address of third party under SNMP. this feature has been around for sometime. a copy of mib file can be found under system monitoring folder on npx. a full list of SNMP traps for npx can be found on extranice along with sentinel product information. I have used SNMP and sentinel for NPX and find both to alert when major issues are occuring.

Good, this thread is not closed yet!

I am testing Sentinel as a monitoring solution for NPX.
with Sentinel 2.1.0.5 and NPX 3.0.16
Some of our deployments include 4 o more NPX servers in different sites, still connected via LAN / WAN.

Is there any documentation for adding the NPX to the Sentinel Community, or it will be done just as any NP server.

there is also another interesting question, Sentinel now has been released in the 2.5 version. but after many downloads of the installer I am confused because there are several installers with size under 1GB, while Sentinel 2.1.0.5 installer was 2.5 GB aprox.
I found this installer for example.
Sentinel 2.5 SA, 32/64 bit, 20 users, 4.1.700.149, NICE Perform Release 3.X
Will it be necessary to add NPX servers to the sentinel community?

Thanks.
