NIce 8.9 to change the retention days 1

Hello All,

We need to increase the retention days from 365 to 2555 days in NICE 8.9 version.
As we checked we are not able to retrieve the recording more the 365 days. We have checked in database table is already nice_cls_calls_0001 to 0084 and in our storage we have recording of three years and we have enough space in storage.
So can we change the retention from 365 days to 2555 directly in nice storage page or we do follow some steps. what are the impacts and what services we need to check.


Question-:
1-:If we change the days we can retrieve the recording from starting or from the days when we changed the days in Nice

hi,

the nice_cls database has a default retention for cls records of 7 years.

if you increase the retention on your storage rule to 2555 then that retention takes affect from that date of change.

on the storage center server when you change the retention save it and then stop and start a service called scloader on storage center server.

the retention is checked on a daily basis by the storage center mechanism and once it finds calls above the set retention it deletes them from storage archive.

the cls record will still exist as the cls is set by default on install to hold 7 years of records.

if you have the calls backed up to tape also you could retrieve the calls post 365 days back onto logger as the locate mechanism looks at logger for call before looking at storage center.
