NICE 4.1 Monitor app not working from work stations.

Hi I am having trouble getting NICE monitor to work on 4.1 from work stations. Some users including myself can get into monitor but no activity. All agents are grey, no yellow heads or speakers etc. Others are getting error "monitor server is down" Yet when I log directly on to the server it works just fine. Any thoughts?
