Hi -
Anybody out there to give some advice whether the idea of Advanced Load Balancing through NIC Teaming is feasable and/or sound to remove the load from a PowerEdge 500SC application server which is getting slower and slower (1 GHz, 1 GB, Win2k TS, < 10 user).
Thanks, Martin

You need to do some performance monitoring to find out the bottlenecks. Assuming the system has a 100MB NIC though I'd think it unlikely that's the problem.

We have some servers here in ALB mode and I don't think they're performing any better than similar servers without twin NICs.

Nick,
Agreed... Traced some of the problems to settings in the here used Anti-Virus software, some others to recent application of SP3 (which caused a lot of problems like sporadic garbage printing, unaccessable user profile directories - most of which went away with today's application of pre-SP4 hotfix Q329170).
Thanks for the hint anyway...
Martin
