I am about to buy a NIC for my computer. It is running
SCO Openserver 5.05. The NIC I can easily get is a :

SURECOM PCI Ethernet ADP 10/100 (EP-320X-R-1/6C). It has the Realtek 8129/8139D chip in it.

Can anyone tell me if this is a supported card for
SCO Openserver 5.05, and where I can download a driver for it.

Thanks

Kelvin

I think a tulip driver will work with this card. I would recommend the linksys lne100tx it has a sco driver included and is an economical card.

The linksys will work, I have installed at least 6 in different servers, we also use a large number of intel pro100 server nics, drivers are right on the CD in the box and they do not cost much more than linksys

Thanks for the reply everybody, I will go shopping this weekend. My main worry was getting the driver for SCO.

Thanks again
Kelvin

Making sure you have the driver is a good start.
Don't go for the least expensive...so many unexplained problems can be caused by "cheap" network cards. Stick with Intel or 3com if you can and stay away from the realtek based cards.
