Hello, I am having a problem configuring my primary interface, le0. In the past, on Ultra 5's mostly, I configure it during installtion and it works fine. Here is the problem:
My primary interface is le0 (ifconfig output)
le0: flags=863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu1500
inet 192.168.0.15 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.0.255
ether 8:0:20:77:4b:55
I recieve link light on my switch also, but I cannot ping or be pinged by any other node. I can ping myself, however. I have a hostame.le0 file in /etc with my IP, and my hosts file has an entry for my hostname and IP. I have verified the cable works on another machine. I have tried to use NDD -get to get the card parameters, but if I get le0, it says no such module. If I drop the 0 and do a get on just "le", which is in the /dev directory, I get "operation failed, Invalid argument..." Short of trying every combination of speed and duplex, is there any way to find out my card is/can be set for?
Thanks in advance
