Shown below is route print output with normal NIC operation accessing internet via DSL connection. There is also a VPN client running going to 74.99.92.232 (altered). Note the default gateway. Problem is I have to access systems via dialup for troubleshooting purposes. When I do this the default gateway changes to the connected host and I lose some of my internet conns. The VPN via DSL stays in place but not some of the other conns. Wondering if editing the route table will get me anything for this issue?
Thanks for any input.

I fixed my own issue. Thought I would post anyway as it's so easy to forget this. When setting up the VPN connection properties click Properties-Networking-TCP/IP Properties-Advanced-General. Make sure the "Use default gateway on remote network" is NOT checked. This keeps the NIC from straying away from the default gateway in the LAN.
