NIC Card settings saved to file? If so, where?

We have an old server hard drive that has important NIC settings on it for our VPN setup. The hard drive will not boot, but I can access it as a slave drive.

My question is... Are the NIC settings saved anywhere on the hard drive? If they are saved, can they be accessed & viewed?

Any information on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
