I have installed the software but when i try to run it, it comes up with an error, "sniffer failed to open the selected adapter." It gives possible solutions but only 1 applies to me and i checked into it. There is an option to manually pick the network adapter but when i try that, there isn't one there to pick. It says there could be an adapter driver installed more than once. My nic card went bad so now i am using the integrated one. I am using the same ip address as before. I uninstalled the other completely and started the computer up once before I enabled the integrated one in the bios. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, It sounds like you have a bindings problem. For Sniffer to operate the Sniffer Binding needs to be bound to the cards you are using. Go to the properties of your cards and tick the sniffer binding or enable it (depending on your OS). If the sniffer binding isn't listed - I recommend uninstalling sniffer (selecting yes to all for shared files), rebooting, then reinstaling Sniffer Pro v4.7.
If you are using v4.5 on 2000 it wont work!! XP is also not a supported OS for v4.5 or v4.7. Alf (sniffer@axial.co.uk)
P.S. Make sure your licience key no. is in upper case! (mregister.exe)
