Hello,
I have been using nhibernate for mapping my persistent data using an hbm.xml file to create the mappings.
I have recently read about using fluent nhibernate for automatically mapping entities without the use of xml files.
Are other people using this feature? can anyone provide any pros/cons regarding fluent nhibernate?

Thanks for any thoughts.

The best place to ask would be the NH forums
Nhibernate: Fluent Nhibernate:
Many devs have gravitated towards FNH because you don't need to think about xml or how to map. it's great for getting up and running quickly. I haven't used the auto-mapping feature yes, but that seems to be where FNH really shines.

if you need fine tune control over the mapping stick with hbm. FNH is more about conventions and works well with greenfield projects.

I moved to FHN when it was first released and liked it. Just this week I got back into the hbm mappings and found I forgot just about everything. after 2 days it all came back. I now considering sticking with hbm.
1. to keep my mapping skills sharp
2. better control over the db and default mapping strategies.
