NGKEM - What is this?

We have various clients in the UK running version 4.0 BCM's. They liked the look of the IPKEM to connect to the 1140E handsets, but as they are only supported on the CS1000 it is not an option.

On 8th Jan, Nortel released a patch for the version 4 (BCM.R400.151-UTPS) which states that the NGKEM is now supported on the version 4 along with the 1110 handsets.

My question is: Is the NGKEM the same as the expansion module for the 1140E handsets?

Yes it is. Unfortunately, if you look now you will find that the patch has been pulled down.

I try to keep up to date and download patches as soon as Nortel advise they are available. I have not received a notification from them to say it has been withdrawn, but I see it has.
