Hi all –

We’re running MetaFrame XPe FR2 on Win2000, SP3 servers. We have two separate webservers set up running IIS and NFuse v1.7 – one web server has NFuse configured to launch our application as a desktop application in a separate window and the other web server is configured to launch our application embedded within a browser window. If the desktop application configuration is used, the Citrix NFuse client is not by the computer name in the Client Name field of the Citrix server. Instead, the computer name is replaced by "domain-username" of the user validated for access to the Citrix server. If the embedded application configuration is used to access our application, the client name is correctly identified as the computer name of the NFuse client (same as for a direct ICA connection). The login windows and application display web page for the NFuse servers are identical, regardless of the configuration used and they have identical template.ica files. Does anyone have an idea of why the desktop configuration behaves this way and what can be done to have the NFuse client listed instead of “domain-username”?

Thanks for any and all assistance!

Thanks - that did the trick. Is there any rational for the why this occurs or is it simply a random event based on some miniscule configuration setting? :)

I have lost rationality a long time ago when it comes to citrix. Every new release of NFuse, CSG or a new FR is alway's a few weeks of suprises.
Either they changed the behaviour completely, or just plain left out functionality, or added functionality.
I have given up, and just monitor the public citrix forum a few weeks after a new release, to see the mahem.
