Hi All,

I'm still relatively new to the Citrix world and so far what I see I like.

I'm running Metaframe XP and everything that I've done so far is working except for NFuse 1.61.

I have published so apps and I can get to them using an ICA Client directly with no problems from anywhere, however, when I log on using NFuse from any PC outside of the LAN and try to launch an app I get the following error message:

Cannot connect to the Citrix Server
There is no Citrix Server configured on the spcific address

I just don't get it because when I log on to it inside of the LAN it works fine.

Any ideas?
-is it a problem with NFuse, Citrix or my firewall and a combination of all three?

I'm running a Windows 2000 Server with SP2 installed
I'm also behind a firewall (ISA Server)

Thanks for the help in advance.

Couple of things to check first;

Do you have the correct ports open on the firewall?

Can the client ping the NFuse server?

Are you using Alternate Addressing?

Check DNS settings on the client.

Try entering the name of the Citrix Master Browser in the server location field. If that fails, try entering the name of the NFuse server as well.

Try using the Alternate IP Address of the NFuse server in the server location field.

I hope this helps

Does NFuse use any paticular ports? If so what ports does it use...

My NFuse server is the same physical machine as the Citrix Server and the same as the ISA Server...

I'm beginnig to think it's a firewall issue as I can launch internally but can't outside of the LAN...

Thanks for the tips though

I found my solution in the steps below...

Thanks for your suggestion though - It would have led me in the same direction

If you generated an NFuse 1.51 Web site using the Citrix Web Site Wizard, and chose to embed published applications with the Java ICA Client, you need to perform the following steps to allow connectivity through an NAT firewall:

Run the altaddr command on each of your MetaFrame servers according to the instructions in the MetaFrame Administrator's Guide to inform each MetaFrame server of its external IP address. For example:

altaddr /set 206.32.107.11

On your Web server, edit Template.ica and change the line that reads

Address=[NFuse_IPv4Address]

to the following:

Address=[NFuse_IPv4AddressAlternate]

If you chose HTML for IIS or HTML for servlets when you ran the wizard, edit Appembed.htm and remove the following line:

<param name=Address value='[NFuse_IPv4Address]'>

If you chose Active Server Pages or Java Server Pages when you ran the wizard, edit Appembed.asp or Appembed.jsp and remove the following line:

<param name=&quot;Address&quot; value=&quot;<%= IPv4Establish %>&quot;>
