NFuse 1.5 published apps - need help

I am a newer Citrix user. I have metaframe 1.8 fr1 installed on one box and MS IIS 4.0 on another. I used NFuse 1.5 to create templete web pages and the Citrix published app manager to create .ica and .htm files for the published apps I have.

When i go to my webpage, i get the login (works fine). But when it tries to read the published apps - it tells me none are available. I put the .ica and .htm files that published app manager created in the same directory as the NFuse created .htm and .asp files - that should be the correct location - right?

I guess that is my question - where should I have my .ica files located in order for them to be read in?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chris

Check that the user/group that the app is published to is set up and/or spelt correctly.

Hope this helps

I have set up a generic user called 'citrix' and I am sure that is correct. Some of my published apps are available for anonymous login and even those aren't showing up. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

If the apps have been published so that your 'citrix' user can access them, then they should automatically show in the web page after the client has logged in.

Generally if they don't it's because there is either a typo in the user's name, group or other details or in the published application properties.

I say generally. If this is not the case, then I'll probe further - but this is always the first place to start.

Check also that the web server is set up so that this user can access it.

Do the apps work if you publish them to your citrix admin user?

If not, then it looks like a setup problem.

Hope this helps.

I'm having the exact same problem. If you found the answer, could u please post it as well.

Thanks in advance.

Zmanthao,

As it turned out I had everything in the right place. My problem was that I had not created a "application set" on the server. This is where NFuse looks to see what applications the user has access to.

Even if you only have a single Citrix Server, you need to create a Server Farm from Published Application Manager. Once the farm is created you can add your applications to the farm.

That was my problem - hope it works for you.

I found the solution as well. Mine was involved with the installation and since it is inside a firewall going through NAT, created some difficulty. After going directly through the static IP and reinstalling all citix app., things went smooth.
