NFS slowing down

I am currently NFS sharing a disk from an O2000 to an O200, and vice versa. When ever a file is transfered through this I experience a network slowdown. The O2000 is a K-Share server and the O200 is used as a RIP only. The slowdown occurs when the O200 receives a large file for processing (1GIG). This shouldn't affect networking, but it seems to. Any ideas? Thanks
