I have set up a share on a sun2 machine I think
I have the export settings correct. I am exporting
/export/home2/ I can go to /net dir on another machine and cd to /sun2/export and cannot create anything in it. I can see home2 however I can not cd to it. I get access denied errors. I have rw to my subnet in the /etc/dfs/dfstab file
I chmod 777 home2 and I even created same user, group accounts on both machines. Still not write to export
and no read to home2

Thanks Jeff

$ cat dfstab

# Place share(1M) commands here for automatic execution
# on entering init state 3.
#
# Issue the command '/etc/init.d/nfs.server start' to run the NFS
# daemon processes and the share commands, after adding the very
# first entry to this file.
#
# share [-F fstype] [ -o options] [-d "<text>"] <pathname> [resource]
# .e.g,
share -F nfs -o rw=192.168.1.0 -d "home dirs" /export/home2

Hi,
I am not sure that you can share filesystem to subnet.
Please try to write hostname or username or netgroup after rw. What happens?
