Hi guys, I am configuring nfs between two machines. hostA as a server and hostB as a client. My problem is I am unable to mount the shared directory on the server when I try mounting it as a regular user from hostb I am able to mount it when i use the root account from hostb, my shared directory on the server gives rights to everyone, but for some reason I am unable to mount it using a regular user accout. Thanks in advance

Only a super-user can mount a filesystem. A regular user can use mount to list the file systems mounted.

If you need to mount this filesystem permanently then add it to the /etc/vfstab file and it will be mounted at bootup.
If you only need to mount it at times you could use automounting. This would mount the filesystem when it was accessed and unmount it when it is no longer being used.
