Hi!

I am running Suse 8.0 Pro on my two computer "Server" and "ws", so All my important information are stored in Server box, In both system I log using user:userxxx with the same password, I have installed Nis and NFS so I did:

On Server:

I created the default Yast configuration after you add a new user.
It created user dir /home/userxxx
I activated Nis Server
I exported /home/userxxx with NFS
My web server information is located in /home/userxxx/web

On Ws:
I installed Suse
I created a new user named userxxx without home dir
I exported my home/dir from Server

Up to now everything works fine but today my ws reported a timeout mounting exported paths when I turned on my computer(or something like that)
My server was turned on for almost 30 hrs.
I tried to access my server using ssh nothing happened
I had to reset my server
Everything works fine
I have activated IP-Forwarding, Firewall, DHCP server, NiS, NFS, Samba, Apache, Mysql,
As I mentioned everything works fine but have I done something wrong, shouldn't I export my home dir from server?
Could this be a risky decision?

I did this because If I created home dirs on both computers When I accessed KDE from WS it shows 2 userxxx

Thanks In Advance.
