Hi all ,

when starting nfsd i get the following error on my aix 5.2 system.

There is not enough buffer space for the requested socket operation.

I have set sb_max, tcp/udp recv/sendspace to higher values?

any ideas?

michel.

First, use #no -o thewall to display the current value of mbuf.
Second,use #no -o thewall=NewValue to enlarge the mbuf value.

Hi mkraker
What ever u have done is fine. But the permissable values
also plays significant role in setting the no(network options) parameters.

For instance to set thewall option : for AIX 4.2 and later
versions(i;e up to aix 5l 5.2)..it depends on platform hardware and architecture type....whether ur system hardware is CHRP or non CHRP...
This you can check by using command and flag as: bootinfo -p
If the output shows "chrp"
You can set thewall option to a value of 1 gb and for non chrp machines it will be 256mb .
Make a decision accordingly and suitably
