Hi

I am unable to cd to NFS mounted directories. It gives the following error:-

ntpdate[378]: waiting 300 seconds before trying again

Can anyone help me on this.

Regards
R.K

That is completely unrelated to NFS. ntpdate is used to synchronise your system's time with a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server. Are you sure you've posted the correct error message?

Are these NFS mounted directories always mounted, or mounted automatically when needed using the automountd?
