I need to patch numerous Solaris/Linux boxes and it needs to be installed in single usermode. The patch is located on a NFS mount. Can I boot to single usermode and mount the patch via NFS share? If yes, please provide instructions. If not, I'm screwed :)

Thank you in advance.

It worked!!!

I boot to single user mode and did a route add default and I was able to mount the NFS share where the patches are located. I'm not sure how it worked, but it did.

If someone can explain how it worked, please feel free.

Which part are you not sure about? To mount an NFS mount all you need is network connectivity, and by adding the default route you provided all of the additional network configuration that was required.
