hello. i'm runing 2.2.14-5 kernel under RedHat6.2

something happend before the last reboot (not a crash), so that currently i can only run X as root. Both the
NFS and INET fail during normal shutdown and the subsequent startup

any ideas?

thanks in advance. -andre

Hi,

Try doing the following command :

ls -l /var/run

to see if there are .pid files that are not showing the current date. If there are, remove them with 'rm whatever.pid' .
