I have a problem that I've seen solved before but am at a loss of how to do it. We have a solaris box running apache 1.1.13 with the only real user allowed to access it being root. My roommates and I all have files that are being mounted on the webserver. I've tested the webserver and it will resolver the ~user requests but it looks like only with the users listed in /etc/passwd on the solaris box. So here is my question, how do I add in users that the ~ operator will resolve without adding them into /etc/passwd? Thanks much.
