I have a sun 250 on the outside of my firewall. A sun450 on the inside of the firewall. I would like to to use NFS to remotelt mount to the 450 .

The 250 is not currently a trusted machine ,and would pefer not to go that route.

Any suggestions on how to configure this type of set up?

how often does the file system being exported change on the 450?

If it is not too often, then it might be more secure to do an rsync through ssh/scp/sftp.

you can ssh securecopy rather than nfs since mounting nfs outside need some UDP port to be open. If you still want to do it this way ..Mount the NFS disk using a NFS cache on your outside server. You need to open some UDP ports to do this and close the UDP ports after you have mount it. Good luck
