I guess someone has hit this before. If so I hope there is a way forward. I just installed SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 on our NF5500 and - alarm & dismay - SuSE doesnt have any drivers for the onboard S3 86C775/86C785 video chipset. Can anyone tell me if there is a way around this?
Cheers

SUSE Linux only certifies the 5500 for v6.3. Assuming you are using the server as a server, and resolution is not a big deal, vga mode should work just fine.

Thanks Catorze
Yes, the low resolution is more a nuisance than a problem. Anyway, for the benefit of any other members who run across this I fixed it with vga=788 at the root prompt. Can also be changed at the grub interface.
