All-

I am trying to install some software that ties up to KDE on RHEL3 system. There has been one thing after another not found. I got past the last couple after being pointed in the right direction here on this forum, but now I have just hit another wall. This thing is asking for kconfig_compiler. Fair enough, but after installing and upgrading about every package I can think has anything much to do with KDE development, still no joy. Anyone have the clue as to where to find this?

Are you installing an RPM or from source?

If you are compiling from source, does this post help you?

It seems that this may be an artifact of a configure file that was designed for KDE 3.1.

Well, that appears to get me a little further. I will ponder the next error for a while before asking help again. ;^)

Actually the post you referred to got me looking for config files, and I found none. So I think you are right, this is a vestige. Following up on that, it configures, but still has some C++ problem in the build. I will look into that separately.
