Next Billing Date in Contracts

We are using contract admin under version 8.00g73 of GP. It seems when we renew a contract the renewal date and/or next billing date is set to 01/01/2900 which basically states "do not renew". Does anyone know how to set this date to be the next day after the contract end billing date?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
