Hi,

Is there anyway to search a newsbox/item based on a news item id?

I am looking at .cfx file created by powerplay report publishing. I want to find out the location of the news item in upfront which uses that pertculat report. From the .cfx file i got the news item id (as 17c0_6784328). Now how to find the news item in upfront for that id?

thanks in advance.

regards,
Sudhi

You could try a standard windows search on the ppserver folder for the text string '17c0_6784328'

To find that you need to open the CFX file.

In the cfx file you have 1 entry which is like PrimaryNID="TX,,26fab37d4a4011dba825e915f04db040"

You copy the number 26fab37d4a4011dba825e915f04db040

You replace below with your upfront server name ( maybe the gateway as well) and you replace the number by yours.

(there is no line break or return caractere in the command line)
you copy the new url and paste it in IE.

This will display in browser a XML file, where you can see that you have an entry called Full name .
The full name is containing the full newsbox path including the report name in Upfront.

datetime format upfront
