We actually heard the roar of the avalanche 3 miles from our house. (Yes, it was closer to our house than it was to Snowbird Ski Resort [shocked].) And, considering that the avalanche was across the road from the 150-year-old Granite Quarry from which Pioneers extracted the stone for the Salt Lake City Mormon Temple, yes, it was just about "100 years wide". [thumbsup]
