I am trying to mount this 160Gb HD I found.
I noticed it didn't have that little pin to make it a slave or master. I wonder the if this is the reason why is not mounting.

It's the kind of HD that uses this kind of SATA cables:

Sorry for not providing more specs. I thought maybe given the somewhat general question, just showing you what kind of SATA cables it uses it would be enough info.
Should any one need more info just let me know though.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys,

JDL

Sata drives, do not have master/slave. They are one drive per controller. So no jumpers needed. If you have power, and good cable, and it doesn't mount, then there is a problem with the drives controller board, hence why you "found" it.

rClark - It makes sense. A shame though :(
Thank you rClark.
