Hi i hope you can help.I just started using adobe 8 professional and i have a pdf file that need to have its page sizes changed. It is a 16 page documenet and needs to be reduced in size from 210mm x 297mm to 190mm x 270mm .Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you Paul
PS I also have illustrator -perhaps i can use this.I am just beginning with the s/w so forgive the very basic questions!I don't need to do any work on the document , just to resize the page dimensions.

Open the pdf and change your paper size to the one you need. If your page setup window has format for section (naming printers), Select Adobe PDF. The Adobe virtual printer should have been installed when you installed Acorbat.

Now go to File/Print. Select Adobe pdf as your printer. In the section of your print window for setting various output options (on Mac this will be be a drop down menu starting with 'copies and pages") look for "pdf options". Select the quality you need. Press is the highest. Select Acrobat in the "after pdf creation" section so that acrobat automaticlly open the new pdf you're making.

Go back to main print window. you should see a thumbnail of your pdf with the new page size shown. in the Page Scaling section, select "fit to paper". Checking auto rotate and center should help keep things in the middle of the new paper size.

Now hit print. Give the new pdf a name different than the present, maybe add something like 2 to the name. the new pdf will be generated and opn for you to check.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4 & G5
