I've run into this before and I don't know what stroke of genius hit me then, but it has failed me now. I have a report that is pulling a date field - and no matter what the date, it returns a date of the Sunday of that week (the first day of the week, I suppose you would say). A.) Why does it do this? B.) How do I change or format the field so that I'm getting the actual date returned? C.) Can I change any defaults so that anytime I pull a date it gives me the actual date and doesn't default to Sunday?

Thanks in advance for any advice. - Satiria

It sounds like you're grouping on this field, with the section formatted to print "for each week".

If this is true, you can reformat the group under the "Change group" option to print for each day.

If you aren't trying to group on this field, can you explain where in the report you're trying to use it (selection criteria, reporting canvas, etc) and maybe provide a subset of data.

Thank you Naith. Yes, I was grouping by this field, and yes it WAS marked "for each week." Was able to go back into the Group Expert under Options and change that to "for each day" like you suggested. Thanks so much!!

It seems that "for each week" is the default under grouping options as I have run into this before. Is there a way to make the default "for each day", as I can't think of an occassion where I'll ever need "for each week" with what I do in CR, OR...do you just have to be mindful of it each time you set grouping?

Thanks again!
