I'm new to Illustrator but I usually pick up on this stuff fairly quickly. However for the life of me I can't figure out how to resize a text box after I've created it except by doing a Transform and Scale and entering in a percent. When I do that it's changes the size of the text as well as the box. I don't know how large to initially draw the boxes based on the text I'm going to type s I have to conclude I'm missing something fundamental. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

BTW, I'm using Illustrator 10 on Windows.

Thanks

Hi David

Probably what you have missed is that the Bounding Box must be showing. Ctrl+Shift+B on the PC to show/hide bounding box. Then you can use the selection tool (v) to resize the text box without resizing the text.
