Hi,

I am trying to find a site where I can download red hat linux (7.3?).

I did quite some searching, this is the closest I got:
ftp://ftp-linux.cc.gatech.edu/pub/linux/distributions/redhat/

Don't know what to download (is i386 correct for an Athlon AMD 1600?) and how to continue?

Any help very much appreciated,

Thanks,
Ron

RedHat maintains a list of mirrors at:

But any given mirror is not guaranteed to have version 7.3. And you want to download the i386 version for Athlon.

I'd download the ISO files, burn three CDs from the ISOs, then boot from CD1. You will want to download valhalla-i386-disc1.iso, valhalla-i386-disc2.iso, and valhalla-i386-disc3.iso. ______________________________________________________________________
Don't say thanks. Just award stars.

You can also try and linux.tucows.com

Thanks guys,

I left redhat.com too quickly when I saw the commercial version there, actually there is a 'download' link on redhat.com:

At the moment the files are being downloaded through my ftp client. Just to be sure, I am downloading the files as binary. Is this correct, or should I select ASCII??

Thanks, happy to hear that as I now realise that downloading takes a bit of time.
