Hello All,

I'm new to MySQL and am trying to use MySQL Front with version 4.1.10 of MySQL, I'm having difficulties accessing MySQL with MySQL Front. It comes back with one of two errors:
(if i put "root" user and "root" in pw)
Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server, consider updating client

or

(if I put "" in user and "root" in pw)
Access denied for user ODBC@localhost (using passwor YES)

Any tips on resolving this issue are welcome

Thanks in advance

The version is 2.5, I've created a table using the Mysql prompt but I would really prefer to use MySQL-Front.

Thanks

Woops, I didn't know there was a newer version, that was the version my ISP recommended.

The author took a year's hiatus from developing the product, and it may have been right after releasing 2.5. Your ISP may not know that the developer is at work again.
