newbie to database programming

i am trying to learn database programming but i cant get vb to connect to my databases. im using ms vb 6.0 and ms access 2000 are they not compatible or what?

i would also like to know if anyone knows a good online vb database resource for learning, with beginner tutorials and stuff.

Make sure that you are using the DAO 3.6 referrence, not the DAO 3.51. Rob Marriott

If you are using VB6 then you will be using the ADO connection control. It should be in your toolbox. Durkin
