I have (test) Dreamweaver 8,but it looks for a beginner "where to start" and complicated and sofar no
Wizard/sample pages discovered somewhere for this nice prg.

What is a reasonable start to make later PHP,Coldfusion
etc etc.
I like to have a Wizard in the beginning.
What starter package do you recommend ?

I strongly recommend that a beginner not use some high-end IDE to program PHP. It can end up becoming a crutch. A FAQ in this forum: faq434-4252 talks about members' recommendations for PHP script editors.

I further recommend that you familiarize yourself with the PHP online manual. It's one of the best out there:

I need a good starting point. I am a recent grad and know the basic SQL, C#, HTML Java and very little VB Script.
Please direct me to a good starting point to practice these languages. I also want to know good books that are helpful. I don't want to loose what I used in school. I have a BS in CS. I am considering going for my Master's or a Technical Certificate, but I feel so far behind. I have the appropriate system to try sample programs/code.
I hope someone can point me in the right direction and give me a good starting block. I'd like to learn all those languages and be comfortable using them and know the difference in them.
Thanks in advance.

If you understand C# PHP should not be very hard to grasp.

I agree with Sleip, if you are a beginner, don't use IDE's as they will hinder your learning process by doing it all for you. You'll end up being more confused by what they produce.

I would Google, for PHP tutorials there are lots of them around. For example:

It guides you step by step, just click the Next button to move onto the next page.
