Hi Guys

Im new to Access and could use a little help. Im helping out with a seniors directory and they decided to start entering the phonebook type data into a database instead of using word and I have to bring it in to indesign using a third party program so the problems im having are:

1) How can I output the database from Access to a tab-delimeted text file?

2) How can I either have fields that are hidden or frozen etc and just used for sorting the database etc but do not output into the tab delimeted file?

Thanks in advance
Samuel

Very easy. Create a query that copes with the items in point 2 and don't Show the fields used for sorting etc. Save the query, then right click on it, select Export and Save as type Text Files. It takes you through a wizard that allows you to chose the separator.
