we are a bunch of Informatica students playing around iwth the tool.
we have one question
Since none of us have any real work experience in informatica, we would like to know as to how informatica is configured.
By configuration we mean
1.How the INFA system is setup
2.Are INFA server and repository on the same system or different systems?
3.Do you have a separte box for the server or do u have it installed in an existing server?(i beleive it takes only 75MB space)
4.If you use PowerCenter,do you use PowerMart as will,coz PowerCenter contains the same functionality as PowerMart in addition to few other features like global repository and distributed metadata etc.Wold there be any instances where you use both PowerCenter and PowerMart?
