newbie questions

I have a 3300MX in the lab here, I have ip phones set up and can call amongst the phones. I cant figure out where to punch down a dialtone to get it into the 3300.

I have an amphenol type connector on the back of the 3300 and I have an ASU with an amphenol connection too. I have the dialtone punched down on white/blue and it doesnt seem to work.

please help.

also, can music be played out of the phone speaker similar to feature-86 on a nortel phone?


can paging be accomplished over the phone speaker?

You have dialtone punched down? Does this mean an analog trunk or equivelent?

If so, have you tried looking up the pin out in the technicians handbook?

have you programmed the analog extensions? you should find it on white blue

you can have moh play on IP sets. just note that this uses resources and may impact performance
yes you can page using a feature access code on IP phones
