I just installed RedHat 8.1 and the version of Mozilla is old. I downloaded the new 1.5 to a folder. How do I go about installing it or any other program that I download for that matter?

I assume I would run this at a command terminal, and so I did. However, I keep getting "command not found". I do a "man rmp" and there is no entry found for rmp.

Yah, I finally figured that out. I got as far as running ./configure but it tells me there is no such directory. Maybe I am in the wrong directory? I tried to cd to the folder where the extracted files are and run it. Still no good. ??

mondy, what exactly did you download? Does it end with an 'rpm' extension? In that case, cd to the directory to where you downloaded it, and do as AP81 said, rpm -Uvh whateverthenameis.rpm

Oh, ok. I downloaded Mozilla 1.5 I will check to see if one of them has an rpm file extension. Thanks.

Nope. No rpm file. I must be doing something wrong, huh?
