I don't understand a few things.
Why does Interdev make a folder under the folder I want to use and call it "Project1_local"?
Why is my default.asp page showing under even though I have a directory under called Project1, that holds all the ASP pages?
Why are my images not showing up when I browse the pages (the path is img src="images/example.gif" and all the images are in Maybe I'm getting confused between the virtual directories and the physical directories, I can't say for sure.

-> VID stores its own project information in \PROJECT1. Everything you do is in XXXXXXX_LOCAL folder

Thanks for your help foxbox. I figured some stuff out last night. For one thing, you do have to add pages and images from within Interdev instead of Windows Explorer, which seems sort of odd to me, but I guess it makes sense. I understand the project_local thing now, though I'm still not quite sure why !MY! default asp page was in My only problem now is that after I create the project in Interdev, then change the home directory path in IIS to make the new project the default web site, Interdev wants a password when I try to do anything after that. It's fine if I leave it as but I want it to be I've checked all the permissions and it doesn't look like it should be asking me for a password, but I must be missing something.

[same experience here]
i do this:
o Leave the directory structure the way VID creates it
o Leave iis home directory \inetpub\o Open IIS service manager
o Click Default web site
o Right click the default.asp page, choose properties
o And then i enter a redirect to the project\default.asp

this works oke for me.
