Hope someone can help. Have inherited a ePO 3.01 system, which has been running smoothly for a while, but the latest DAT update is not showing up in the repository.

The agent seems to be running fine, and the scheduled tasks look like they are doing what they should be doing, according to the documentation - but I still have an out of date DAT file as the current version. Can anyone suggest a reason for why the update process may have stopped?

try doing a pull, to import the latest DAT file from NAI, it probably stopped working because of the account used to download files from NAI was disabled.

in that case the pull wouldn't work either, you'll have to go into the master repository and change the account information to pull software from NAI.

does that make any sense?

Doh!!

OK, In the ePO console, click on the server name and then scheduled task and make sure there is a task set up to pull the dats and it's set to run at some frequency.

Click on the tab for the task logs and see when the last time the task ran. If it's been a long time, delete the scheduled task and recreate it.

A small fluke in 3.0 is that once a task doesn't run, it never seems to run again unless you delete the task and start again.

Well, the system was doing a pull from the repository originally, but as suggested, I have deleted the task and recreated it. I would have checked out the task logs - except they just hourglass and don't open, and become non-responsive. Which is a whole new problem in itself, I guess!

Hopefully, the delete will sort out the problem...thanks for the suggestions. Any ideas re the task logs, by the way?

Yeah, my task log takes a while to open, That's normal for me too. Just let it sit, mine takes a few minutes and locks up the console while you wait.... Don't worry it'll come up..

Doh!!

Well, deleting and recreating the scheduled task seems to have worked! Thanks a lot folks. And I'll just try and be patient re the task log......)

On the task log, I purge it almost daily after I've ascertained the jobs are running as planned. Once I've determined that, I don't need the logs. They open rather fast when you keep the count down.
