NEWBIE QUESTION 1

A. I'm new to Nortel's (Siemens, Aspect prior to this)

B. Tried a search with no success

Question.

Prior to this morning I was logging into the switch to make changes with no issues. Now today I'm having trouble logging in.

I have a first level password which I assume is for the SEB and gets me into the switch. I appear to get by this fine. its the switch password where I seem to be having problems and I'm hoping I haven't locked myself out.

Here is what happened:

Procomm Plus Ready!
Ok, You are now transparent to port 1
LOGI NEXTIRAONE

OVL111 000 IDLE
OVL111 000 IDLE
PASS?

Am I screwed?? Any help would be appreciated

OVL0428 Login name and password combination is invalid. Action: Check the password and login name and try again.

Are you sure that the login name you have is correct? If so, then possibly the password has been changed.

after you put in your LOGI NEXTERAONE and hit enter, Enter your pasword and enter again.

Sometimes the extra messages mess people up - ignore and enter password anyway.

I had screwed up the password, all is well now.
