I have the default sendmail configuration done in redhat 7.3 for sendmail
I need to create a site like mail.yahoo.com,hotmail.com etc
where we can receive and send mail on a linux server plus have a user interface
I have downloaded and installed squirrelmail but I am stuck at the point where they ask for a login and password at the first page
Does anyone know how to proceed for squirrelmail or any other interface? Is there a default superuser for sendmail?

Thanks for any help

I don't think squirrelmail will do what you want if I understand your question correctly. Squirrelmail will collect mail from a pop3 account. You can create a user account that will collect mail from all of your pop3 accounts into one place. It sounds to me that you want to be able to provide a service that works like hotmail. If this is the case, you may want to checkout something like Communigate Pro. They have a fully functional trial version that doesn't have a time limit but they place a banner at the bottom of all e-mail it sends out. To use squirrelmail and sendmail together to do this, you would need some type of script that will allow the public to create actual user accounts on your system. Not a good idea. There are some programs that will create users in their own databases but these usually are not freeware. freeware.
