I downloaded the NET Framework SDK version 1, 120-130mb thereabouts. I am running Windows Professional 2000 and Internet Information Server 5.0.

I compiled and executed some of the sample c# programs.

Now what do I do to be able to run ASP.NET applications.

I'd like to save some time by asking here instead of poring over the voluminous documentation.

Thanks in advance

You should be able to create a new project in visual studio (just select a asp.net web application) for the type. You may need to specify your web server directory the first time you create the project (inetpub/ Beyond that I don't think you have to do much else to get started.

I do not develop locally but rather on a development server and I just specify where I want the project, name it and go. So there may be some pre steps to set up your IIS that I don't know about.

Hope this helps Crystal
