Hello! I am a math teacher who wants to change careers. An acquaitence told me that he thought being an Oracle professional would fit my personality and experience. I really know nothing about Oracle.

Here's my question: Can you tell me if the field is long term, well paying, has jobs, etc?

Also, in layman's terms, what is Oracle?
