Hey everyone. I am just getting into Illustrator, I've been a Photoshop junky for years but I figured that it's time to expand my skills.

My boss just bought me Illustrator 10 and I am trying to figure out how to use it, I have a few tutorials that I am doing to try and learn.

I have run into a problem that I can't seem to find a solution too. I am working with a file where I have imported a jpg and I want to use the eyedropper tool to select a color from the jpg but it doesn't work no matter what I do. Anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

If I recall correctly, in 10 you have to Shift-Eyedropper to pick up a color from a raster image. Double-clicking on the tool in the box will open a list of options for what the Eyedropper will pick up.

You do realize that you won't be able to select regions of the actual raster, right?
