newbie question: wanting documentation on non-mfc app

Hi-

I am trying to learn to make applications for windows without using the appwizard or the mfc classes that come with visual c++6. the book I got with my compiler isnt a good one at all (sams teach yourself in 24 hours). Does anybody know where I might be able to get an online tutorial or something simmilar on creating windows applications without mfc? Robert Carpenter
